  • Is it safe to use this battery operated products under water?

Yes. The Jet Duck upholds the most stringent safety standards (ASTM, EN71, ect’) and is IPX7 waterproof certified, ensuring the utmost safety in using battery operated products when immersed in water. Still, please follow these guidelines to ensure optimal safe use of the product:

    • Use 4 X AAA batteries only.

    • WARNNING: don’t use rechargeable batteries.

    • Use quality batteries of a known brand.

    • Make sure the battery compartment is tightly sealed after every time you change the batteries.

  • Is this product BPA free?

Yes, this product is BPA free.

  • What age is this product for?

This product is recommended for children ages 2-6 years. No matter what their age, you should never leave a child unattended in the bathroom or bathtub.

  • How do I operate the Jet Duck for the first time?

Before you can start enjoying your new bath pal, batteries must be inserted. We strongly recommend using new, good quality batteries to ensure optimal operation over time.

  • What type of batteries are needed to operate the Jet Duck?

4 x 1.5v AAA (LR03) batteries (not included) of good quality and known brand. WARNNING: don’t use rechargeable batteries.

  • How do I insert the batteries?

With caution! Before inserting the batteries, ensure the product is thoroughly dry! To insert batteries, first you must locate the battery cover on the back of Jet Duck’s base, it’s the round, orange cover with a straight groove. Unscrew the battery compartment cover by inserting a coin into the groove and turning it counterclockwise. Pull out the battery case and insert 4 x 1.5v AAA (LR03) batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Place the battery case back into its compartment and screw cover into place until the lock and line marks are aligned (see instructions PDF in the tab above). Attention! Before putting the duck back in the water, make sure the battery compartment is tightly sealed.

  • What is the required water level for operating the Jet Duck?

The bathtub should be filled with at least 4 inches (10 cm) of water.

  • What should I do if I notice mold has developed?

It is recommended to properly rinse, drain, and dry out the product after every use. Unless you do that, Yookidoo® bath toys will need a good cleaning every few weeks or so, in order to remain mold-free. When a thorough cleaning is required, fill up a bucket with 1 gallon of water, add in about a 1/2 cup of vinegar. Let the toy soak in the vinegar water for around 20 minutes, then turn it on and off a few times to circulate the water through the pump. repeat this step with clean water to wash the vinegar out. Rinse it off and dry using a paper or cloth towel.

  • What do I do if the Jet Duck stops working?

The product may stop working when the propeller or filter are blocked by dirt, hair, or soap. In order to fix this, unscrew the filter and pull it out. Wash with soap and water, ensuring that the filter mesh is completely clean. Make sure the propeller rotates freely. If it does not, try to release the clog with a screwdriver, until it rotates freely again. Reinsert filter and screw into place.
If the water is still not running, change the batteries and make sure to tightly close the battery compartment lid (see instructions.

  • What if the product still does not work?

    Please contact us.

  • The pump is working, but water is not coming out of the fish, and the duck is not swimming. What can I do?

If you hear the pump working but water is not coming out, it probably means that air is blocking the pump. Try shaking the duck for a few seconds to release the air. If it still doesn’t work, submerge the duck in water while the pump is working. Make sure that the water level is at least 10 cm. Take the duck out of the water and wait at least 20 seconds. The pump should be working throughout the process.

  • I replaced the batteries and found that there was water in the battery compartment, what should I do?

The battery compartment may not have been closed properly. It is very important to make sure the cover is sealed correctly. Before re-operating, take out the battery case and empty batteries. Wipe the compartment, battery case, and batteries and leave to dry. Only when completely dry, insert the batteries, place the battery case in the compartment, screw the cover tightly into place until the lock and line marks are aligned, and try to operate the product. If the Jet Duck still doesn’t work, please contact our customer support center.

  • What is the date code and where can I find it on the product?

The Yookidoo date code number helps us track the production date of the product. Jet Duck’s date code is on the bottom of the duck's body. It is a five-digit number that ends with letters.
